How can we bring the sinister essence of the film, the ‘I’m watching everything you do’, into the real world? And how can we create something cool that will appeal to both new and existing fans to make people aware of the relaunch?

The solution
By leveraging the starpower of Idris Elba, and his known image as Luther, while secretly introducing the public to the newest villain on the block; David Robey, the cyber psychopath blackmailing Britons.

The execution
A billboard that speaks to police work, incorporating forensics in the execution through UV paint and light. Hidden visual elements reveal themselves at night, introducing the villain under the shadow of night. The billboard was supported by DOOHs, online banners and a social suite.

A video-first campaign highlighting cult and classic favourites from the region to fuel love for the characters, content and stories on Netflix’s platform.

We did this across the top three broad interest categories for the Benelux; Travel, Babies, Kids & Maternity and News & Entertainment. These highlight reels were posted across all social platforms and a wider organic content strategy to continue fueling Netflix fans.
